Information

The Fluke 5450A Resistance Calibrator is designed to facilitate manual or automated calibration of the resistance measuring circuitry of high-quality digital multimeters (DMMs). The 5450A provides cardinal point resistances in the range of 1Ω to 100 ΜΩ. Resistances may be selected either at decade points (e.g., 1Ω, 10Ω, 100Ω, etc.) or at xl.9 points (e.g., 1.9Ω, 19Ω, 190Ω, etc.). The 5450A display indicates the value of the selected resistance and can also indicate the error of the instrument being calibrated (the unit under test, or UUT), expressed in percent or parts-per-million (ppm). The 5450A may be controlled from the front panel or by remote control via the IEEE-488 Interface bus. All functions available on the front panel are also available over the IEEE-488 bus. The UUT may be connected directly to the 5450A front panel terminals using banana plugs, or to five-way low-thermal binding posts on the rear panel. The 5450A is calibrated with its covers installed and may be calibrated remotely via the IEEE-488 bus. Calibration constants are stored in electrically alterable read-only memory (EAROM). Accessories available for the 5450A include a rack mounting kit, rack mounting ears, and IEEE-488 Interface bus cables.
