The HYPOT JUNIOR was introduced in 1948 in answer to a
growing need for a portable,inexpensive, yet accurate
instrument for applying high voltage tests to a wide variety
of electrical equipment and components. The HYPOT JUNIOR is
properly referred to as a HIGH POTENTIAL DIELECTRIC STRENGTH
testing instrument,although instruments of this general type
are loosely referred to as "breakdown" testers, hi-pots", etc .
