But the compact size of the FT-180A makes installation in the smallest of cars a straightforward procedure. ■ Choices of Output Power The FT-180A allows you to select PA output power of 10W, 50W or 100W (SSB). When ordering your FT-180A from your dealer, be sure to specify the output power you require. ■ 6 Channel Operation As many as 6 simplex or 3 semi-duplex channels may be installed. Automatic AM selection when switching to a specified channel can be programmed, if you desire this function. All crystals are optional. ■ Effective Noise Blanker The built-in noise blanker eliminates most noise caused by ignition systems, thus allowing reception of weaker signals during mobile operation, and providing clear, highly readable audio signals. ■ Equipped for DC operation The FT-180A is equipped for 13.4V DC operation.
