The Type 7A16 vertical amplifier plug-in unit is part of the 7000-series oscilloscope system. It is a wide band DC coupled amplifier with calibrated deflection factors from 5 mV /Div to 5V/Div. Internal gain and compensation circuits are automatically switched to correspond with the setting of the VOLTS/DIV switch. A polarity switch provides an inversion of the signal within the amplifier. A bandwidth limit switch allows low-frequency, low-level signals to be viewed with reduced interference from signals above 20 megahertz.
