The Model VP-8177A is a signal generator which develops CW, AM or FM wave in frequency ranges from 100 KHz to 30 MHz and from 30 MHz to 110 MHz. The calibrated output level is variable from -19 dB to 99 dB in 1-dB steps. Two types of preset facility are provided for rapid and easy operation in measurement and alignment of radio receivers in production lines. The carrier frequency, output level and modulation functions can be remotely controlled with a simple external fixture. This versatile instrument measures only about 10 cm high, 43 cm wide and 25 cm deep, weighing approximately 7 kg.
