The Model 8030A is a small ruggedly constructed digital multimeter especially suited for field service work. It features a bright 3-1/2 digit LED display with a slide out sunshade allowing instrument operation in adverse lighting conditions. 1-3. Pushbutton controls allow the selection of five ac and dc voltage ranges, five alternating and direct current ranges, and five resistance ranges. Measurement capabilities range from 100 microvolts to 1100 volts dc, 10 millivolts to 750 volts rms, and 100 milliohms to 1999 kilohms. In each range a blinking full scale readout indicates that the 8030A is being operated in an overrange condition. 1 -4. Several options and Accessories are available for use with the 8030A, The options and Accessories are listed in Table 1-1. More information about the options and Accessories is available in Section 6 of this manual. 1-5. Note that the temperature Probe accessory can be ordered in one of two configurations, the 80T-150C (for reading in °C) or 80T-150F (for reading in °F). The battery charger/eliminator is made in five configurations to be compatible with various power sources.
