The 5005A Signature Multimeter is a multipurpose instrument
for troubleshooting electronic logic circuits to the
component level. The 5005A can display digital “signatures”
of logic circuits. This method of troubleshooting is called
“signature analysis”. Typically a logic product designed for
signature analysis troubleshooting will have a programmed
controller and a stored or externally-provided test program
which can exercise most of the unit.

intervals, DC voltages, voltage differences, positive or
negative peak voltages, and resistances.
